On the Road, Again

The title seemed appropriate, but now I can't get Willie Nelson's squeaky voice out of my head. Ugh.

Ben and I are heading out to Winona Lake, Indiana for a few days to attend a youth worker's conference hosted by Vision for Youth. I'm not looking forward to leaving at 6am, but it will be nice to get there a few hours before it starts so we can crash before sitting some more in the evening session - fighting the sleepies.

If you think of it, pray for Ben as he will be subject to my company for about 9 hours in the car tomorrow. Heh heh heh. I will be crocheting, reading my harp magazines, my art magazines, a book or two, sleeping, taking pictures, and talking Ben's ear off. All while performing those critical passenger seat duties (except while sleeping, of course) - looking at the map, finding such-and-such, choosing the next CD, scrounging for change, unwrapping and handing over the food, manning the snackies watching for signs . . .etc.

I'm looking forward to this new adventure, but I'm also looking forward to being home for a while after this trip. Although there seems to be another possible 3 weekend class in February that we may be taking in NJ for counseling. It's an actual course which interests me because I think this is training that I am lacking in. (sooo glad that didn't come up while we candidated -now they're stuck with me and my deficiencies. hee. )

Off to bed for all too short a stay.
